Hope is a keynote speaker, author and educator. She is the founder of the School of Sexual Wellness, the company her education and intimate care work sits under, and the creator of the HOPE Method. Based between Australia and the United Kingdom. Speaks internationally, in person and virtually.
The HOPE Method is a trauma-informed somatic framework for restoring a person's relationship with their own body. It works through four phases: Honour, Orient, Presence and Embody. It is delivered through RECLAIMED, its first programme, and it is the work underneath the talks.
She is the author of RESIDUE, the book about what the body keeps and what gets handed down before anyone has words for it. She is also the creator of The Shift Method, the eight-week menopause programme, which carries a workplace edition of workshops, manager training and policy toolkits.
On stage there are three pieces. The Last Taboo argues what we do not say about sex is costing us our health, and is written for workplace, health and government rooms. The Shift is the menopause talk that does not stop at hot flushes, written for human resources, inclusion and leadership audiences. Missing: One Libido is her own stage show, written and performed by her, about the thing we lost and never reported.
Her work rests on one observation: medicine restores tissue, therapy works through understanding, and between them sits a gap neither was built to close. She speaks in rooms where that gap is costing something, and gives them the words to name it.
04 Host introduction
Read this from the lectern. It is written to be spoken, not scanned, and the paragraph breaks are where to breathe.
60 to 90 seconds when read aloud
Read at a normal speaking pace. The last line is the cue for the applause.
Please welcome our next speaker.
We have made almost everything speakable. Mental health. Money. Grief. One subject stayed behind the door: sex, and what happens when it goes wrong. That silence is not neutral. It delays diagnosis, it ends relationships, and it quietly empties the leadership pipeline of women in their forties and fifties.
Our next speaker has spent her career on that subject. She is the founder of the School of Sexual Wellness. She is the author of RESIDUE, the book about what the body keeps and what gets handed down. She is the creator of the HOPE Method, a framework to help women find their way back to desire.
She also writes and performs her own stage shows, which tells you something about how she handles a room.
She is here to talk about the one health issue nobody will name, and she is going to make this room talk about it too. She is clear, she is evidence based, and she is funnier than the subject has any right to be.
Please put your hands together for Hope.
